Harrison Sarina Portfolio
My Portfolio
Welcome to my portfolio. Here you’ll find a selection of my work. This features both linear and non - linear composition styles.
Above we have some of my compositions that I have completed for myself. Some have been used as submissions for projects at SAE, and live gigs.
AYE by Lavelli was my first track that I produced, mixed and mastered for a client and is now sitting on streaming platforms. The aim of the song was to create an older school hip hop song, that differed from his previous catalogue. We set out to create a older style hip hop, with that west coast feel that was popular in the 90's. I enjoyed designing the older style synths and using different sampling techniques of the time to achieve this.
Whats new!
This project was for a group of highschoolers needing a quick turnaround on a production for a battle of the bands competition. I enjoyed it and got to test myself to see how quickly I could put out a quality product. Originally I was meant to just mix and master it over 3 days. There was issues with some of the guitar lines and I had to re record their vocals. so I had them re recorded through a DI on my laptop. This left me with just under a day to clean up, mix and master the product before their submission deadline. I believe it is a very effective mix, and hits their vibe of early metal, punk and Rage Against the Machine-esque sound they were after.
Roselyn Manor Clips
These are clips compiled from my University Major work, where I composed for the whole film. The film features exclusively original scores written over the course of 8 weeks

This is the intro score to the film. I feel it really feels quite exciting and is an awesome way to start. This theme is also heard with slight variation in the outro.

This scene was quite a long scene with a writing montage, this leads into a tension build which introduces our antagonist. I wanted to show the switch between montage and feeling comfort to the tension right before the antagonist is shown.

This scene is the pivotal scene in the change of tone for the film. There is a long silence prior to this scene, further building the tension. A fun challenge was trying to keep the tension up after he stands up and shouts, especially when Carolyn is sitting at the table before getting up and leaving. It was quite a slow shot and was a little boring before the music came in. I am really happy with this scene and it probably had most of my attention throughout the composition.

This scene is the climax of the film, it features an original jazz song written by me that fades into the fight theme. It was hard to find the balance between all out chaos, and the building of tension as they are fighting. This was a pretty good balance and matches the picture quite well I feel
